What I expected
Today I am reviewing the second-generation little monster — MP2, the Doctor Whale edition. Outwardly the box looked ordinary, with the usual cute monster art. I mainly wanted to feel the warming feature everyone was talking about. Most toys sit at room temperature. I am a warm-blooded person. Going from warm hands (or a warm body) straight onto something cold always jars me a little. I hoped a self-warming MP2 would soften that jump.
What actually happened
Open the sleeve and the little whale sits in a clear bubble tray — dreamy enough that I almost did not want to disturb it. The whale-tail curve on this external arm really won me over; it looks like an actual whale fin, not a stub.
Accessories beyond the usual cable, manual, and pouch: a sticker sheet and a matching charging base (the “monster throne”). I used to set a washed toy on a tissue because I had nowhere else; the base gives it a proper home. The pouch is also larger than older versions, so the dimensional whale tail actually fits.
Warming works like other heated Monsterpub toys I know: only when battery is above about 50% does it auto-warm, then climb toward roughly 40°C within about two minutes and hold. Forget to charge and drop under 50%, and you get a room-temperature toy — no heat. In practice it usually felt warm well before two minutes. The heat is not scalding. If I had to name it: like a boyfriend’s palm when his hands run very warm. On my hand the warmth is clearer than once it is inside, which makes sense — the body is already warm.
Compared with a freshly washed cool toy (or a glass piece I keep for comparison), inserting after warming felt much more comfortable for me. I am not claiming cold toys are “unsafe”; for me personally, a cold start is simply jarring, and warming takes that edge off — especially on days when I am not already highly aroused.

What worked
Clear unboxing and a pretty whale shape. Bubble tray presentation; the external arm’s whale-tail line looks intentional and lovely.
Warming when charged. Above about 50% battery, auto-warm toward about 40°C in about two minutes, then steady. Comfortable, not hot.
Warm-palm feel. Gentle body-adjacent warmth that makes the cold-to-insert jump less abrupt.
Throne + bigger pouch. Charging base for a clean place to rest a washed toy; pouch large enough for the 3D tail.
What fell short
No heat under about 50% battery. If you forget to charge, warming simply will not start. Plan ahead.
Not a “hot” toy. Do not expect burning heat. It is warm-palm territory, not spa-stone territory. Inside the body the difference is subtler than in your hand.

How I handled it
I keep the toy charged so warming is available when I want it. After power-on I wait until it feels warm in my hand (often under two minutes), then use water-based lube and start. I treat glass or other cool toys as a separate preference, not a default cold start. All of this stays private at home.
Who it suits
Anyone who dislikes a cold insert after warm hands or a warm body; people curious about MP2 / Doctor Whale warming specifically; and users who want a charging base and a pouch that actually fits a sculpted external arm. If you love intense heat, temper expectations — this is gentle thermostat warmth, not scorching.
"It is not scalding. If I had to name the heat: like a boyfriend’s palm when his hands run very warm. Keep the battery above half, or you only get a room-temperature monster."

Individual experiences vary. Always use plenty of water-based lubricant and follow the product manual. For adult use only.
